The next edition of the scientific journal issue had egressed in the ton “Bulletin of Dnipropetrovsk University. Series: Communications in Mathematical Modeling and Differential Equations Theory”

The Bulletin of Dnipropetrovsk University. Series: “Communications in Mathematical Modeling and Differential Equations Theory” (shortly “BDU-Modelling”) is concerned with the theory and the application of partial differential equations, dynamical systems, optimal control theory and other related topics. The goal is to provide a complete and reliable source of mathematical methods and results in this field. The journal will also accept papers from some related fields such as functional analysis, probability theory and stochastic analysis, inverse problems, optimization, numerical computation, mathematical finance, game theory, system theory, etc., provided that they have some intrinsic connections with control theory and differential equations.
The articles published are addressed not only to mathematicians but also to those engineers, physicists, and other scientists for whom differential equations are valuable research tools. To be published in this journal, an original paper must be correct, new, nontrivial and of interesting to readers.
BDU-Modelling is a yearly publication. It is edited by a group of international leading experts in mathematical control theory and related fields. A key feature of BDU-Modelling is the journal’s rapid publication, with a special emphasis on the highest scientific standard. The journal is essential reading for scientists and researchers who wish to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. BDU-Modelling is a publication of the DnipropetrovskNationalUniversity. The journal had been founded in 2009 for researchers and students in the field of mathematics.

DEAR COLLEAGUES, Conference Program Committee kindly invites you to participate in the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference “Differential Equations and Problems of Aerohydromechanics and Head-Mass Transfer”.

The Conference is scheduled for September 28-30, 2016 and takes place at the Student Palace of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University

The Conference opens on September 28, 2016 at 10.00am at the Student Palace.

DNIPROPETROVSK NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Dnipropetrovsk National University is a multifunctional modern educational and scientific complex which occupies an important place among the leading institutions of higher education and science according to numerous national and international ratings. It was found in summer of 1918 due to persistent efforts of the local intelligentsia and support of the prominent Ukrainian scientists V. I. Vernadsky, D. I. Bahaliy, M.P. Vasylenko, L. V. Pysarzhevsky. In fact, it was due to their joint petition that Hetman Skoropadsky’s government confirmed the decision to open a university. Nowadays it is intellectual pride of Prydniprovya region.

DNU Student Palace is situated in the 18th century building called “Potiomkin Palace” which is located in the central park of Dnipropetrovsk named after T. G. Shevchenko. The Palace was built in 1789 based on the project of the outstanding architect I. E. Starov who drew up the first general plan of the city on the River Dnipro. The interiors of the Palace impress visitors with unity of harmony and beauty. The stair-cased landing of the second floor is sustained by twelve marvellous columns which form a unique “vivid square”. In 1918, Katerynoslav University was established and Potiomkin Palace became its first study hall. Vira Kholodna, a famous actress of the silent screen, took part in the opening ceremony of the building. Since its inception in 1918, the Student Palace has become a centre of culture and students’ recreational activities. When the Student Palace reunited with Dnipropetrovsk National University, it was reconstructed, which improved its facilities for leisure and recreation. In 1997 a unique gallery “Ukrainian Hetmans” was opened in the Palace. It is the only gallery in Ukraine which exhibits the portraits of Ukrainian hetmans from B. Khmelnytsky to K. Rozumovsky. This project was implemented by members of the Student Palace fine arts school as well as students and professors of the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Fine Arts of Dnipropetrovsk National University.

Master’s graduate of the Department of Differential Equations Pavel Tkachenko (supervisor prof. P. Kogut) took second place in the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the field of “Mathematical Sciences” in 2015-2016 years. This competition was held in Vinnitsa National Pedagogical University named after Mikhail Kotsyubyns’kogo during March 31 – April 1, 2016.

The staff of the Department of Differential Equations with all my heart, sincerely are congratulating Pavel on this achievement !!!
We wish you, Pavel, in any case do not stop !!!
